Hi, I really need advice.

I'm a mum of two and I work Monday to Friday. Currently, my children go to their dads every weekend and I don't get any quality time with them. My oldest is 6 and says she doesn't see her dad very often when she goes over. (He lives with his parents).

My question is, if we went to family court what would happen?

@parentoftwogirls
Courts normally grant every other weekend so try telling him he can have them every second weekend and the weekend he does not have them can have the 2 nights during the week.

@Babyghirl sorry, I should have mentioned. We live about 45 min drive away from each other and he doesn't drive. They also don't have a bedroom of their own and sleep with grandparents.

You would get every other weekend. Iy isn't right you only get after school. It means you can't ever do anything with your children.

You would get every other weekend so that you had some quality time and the option to go overnight to visit your side of the family. When your daughter is older she might want to go on sleepovers at weekends too.
