5 month old still waking every 2 hours

My 5 month old has been waking every 1-2 hours since he was a newborn. He will feed when he wakes sometimes 90ml- 120ml. Is this normal? If not, do you have any tips?
The longest stretch he’s done is 3-4 hours but this is rare

Following as we are in exactly the same boat and I’m beyond desperate for some sleep!

@Qwe1 My baby was a terrible sleeper and a bit of a night owl. She’s primary school age now and still a night owl.

I don’t know what to advise just that I feel your pain. Sleep deprivation is awful and you must be so tired.

I tried everything and ended up co sleeping when she was about 1 yrs old because I just needed some sleep. That’s a very personal decision though and there are probably websites on safe co sleeping.

Hope someone comes along with some good advice for you soon Flowers

So normal at this age, my baby is 9 months and still wakes In the night, I wouldn’t expected him to sleep any better until at least a year

Totally normal. Par for the course unfortunately!

Look at your bedtime routine.. Does your baby go into the cot awake? Absolute key to no wakings.

I stretched the feeds out during the day and put my DC in their cots awake so they were able to settle themselves.

Neither of my kids slept through consistently until 18 months. Sorry but true. They're both great sleepers now.

DS is almost 6 months and he does the same. Up in the night atleast every 2 hours.

We co-sleep for half the night and it really helps us all get some more sleep.

Tbh I don’t think it’ll stop until we stop feeding him to sleep but I think he’s a bit you he yet for sleep training.
