My baby is 17 months and he is teething he has his molars coming through and he is very agitated and keeps crying in pain. I have been giving him calpol 1 dose for 3 days now and it’s helping him with the pain can I keep giving it to him everyday? As on the package it says can’t give regularly for more then 3 days but it’s really helping him.

If he’s in pain which you know the cause he can keep taking. The NHS site says normally it’s used for around 3 days and that would mean the max dose 4x a day. If you are only using one dose a day then can’t see any issues. You can’t just leave him crying in pain. If in doubt ask at a chemist to put your mind at rest

Yes it’s fine, I use painkillers when my DS is obviously struggling with teething, just had his bottom molars through - ouch! Ibuprofen is apparently even better for teething pain than calpol, I give DS a dose of calpol before bed and then if he wakes in the night obviously in pain I give him a dose of nurofen (if I’m sure it’s a tooth). I’d hate to think I’m leaving him in pain when I can help him! Xx
