Being a new parent feeling pretty isolating

Enjoying being a new parent - had my little one 3 months ago - but tbh also struggling with isolation / loneliness at times. Finding it hard to meet up with friends, and don't know how to connect with other parents nearby...anyone else feeling this way? Any suggestions on what I could do? Thanks :)

Being a Mum can be very isolating. Look around for groups for babies, baby massage, baby social, song time at the library or local church, sure start centres, try the mush app, join local parenting group on Facebook and say you are looking for other new Mums.

Thanks for the advice! What do you make of the Mush app? I've heard of another one called Peanut, but not sure what to make of them, as I'm not much of a techie...

Hey 👋 I also had my DD 3 months ago and it can feel really lonely at times so you are not alone in that! I have found that going to the nearby baby groups has helped a bit even if it is only an hour or two a week. I found them just by searching for nearby baby groups online.
I get myself out and about as much as possible too, walk to town and get myself a coffee, walk around the local park, visit friends and family etc. Feel free to DM me of you ever need a chat!

Peanut is amazing! I have a whole new mummy social circle from that.
