Baby sleeps on belly/ nappy leaking

My baby sleeps on his front but since he’s been doing this his nappy has been leaking . I assume it’s gravity making the wee leak out of the top. I don’t want to change him through the night as he takes ages to go back to sleep and this has never been an issue until he started sleeping on his belly.

Does anyone have any nappies or pull ups they can recommend ? Currently using pampers dry and rascal & friends but neither are working anymore , thanks.

My DS always slept on his tummy and this never happened. I found Tesco own brand were really but I also used pampers with no problem.

Is it tight enough, is it the right size ?

Hey! We had this problem! Are you in the UK? We started by buying something called spoosie pads on amazon. Expensive! You can get them in the US more easily I think. We then realised that Tena Lady style pads are example the same. Tesco does a great pack for 80p or something like that. Just pop inside the nappy and all good. Just make sure they are def incontinence type pads and not sanitary pads. The latter don't draw the urine away as a nappy or incontinence pad does and could result in very sore bottom!

We used them with rascals and friends xx

Does he need to go up a size? The only time we've had leakage is when they're ready to move up to the next size

Babyghirl · 07/12/2021 14:59

No being funny but are you making sure he's pointing down the way when putting his nappy on.

Reeva1988 · 07/12/2021 17:01

Tried going up a size initially but it didn’t fix the problem . I’ve bought the pampers dry night pull ups to try tonight , if they don’t work then I will try the tena ladies. Thanks all x

Good luck! We tried going up a size, doubling up nappies and even a back to front nappy lol...for us tena was only thing that worked. But now that he is fully on solids and less liquid over the whole day, we've been ok without a booster.

SometimesSquircles · 08/12/2021 14:01

We had exactly the same. I second the suggestion for Sposie pads from amazon which have solved the problem. Just pop them in your nappy and hey presto - dry baby. I'm going to check out Tena now, very useful thanks @Greentomatoes21

Put them on back to front?
