Primary school Christmas cards

I am possibly overthinking this.

DD is in reception. We got a letter saying children could bring in cards to give out to friends. It's a multicultural school, approx one quarter of DD's class is Muslim.

Is it best to let DD choose who to send cards to, or send to the whole class? Do Muslim children like getting (non-religious) Christmas cards?

I hate the idea of some kids being left out but I also don't want to offend anyone. I am definitely overthinking it!

We used to do all on the list but fun rather than traditional cards. Last year I didn't bother at all and probably will not this year.

In the nicest possible way you are overthinking this. Loads of my colleagues are Muslim and celebrate Christmas. They certainly wouldn't be offended by a fun Christmas card from a child.

My best tip with primary cards is to set up the class list as on a sticky label template, child can copy spelling from the label and avoid writing the envelope out.

Ha, ok thanks! I keep thinking there are unwritten rules for these things

If you can afford it and have the time it would be lovely to send a card to everyone. DD has always got very excited about each and every card..even the knew from kids that shehr didn't know so well.

Definitely include the Muslim kids..I'm almost a 100% sure that none of them would be offended. On the contrary, they would feel bad / feel excluded / feel sad and othered if they knew they got left out because they are Muslim.

I've got many Muslim friends. Many of them celebrate Christmas and they all love to receive and send cards

Definitely
