Who needs Sleep anyway!

Hey, had some good advice from people on here and I'm really hoping someone can offer some much needed advice!

Currently sat in bed with DS2 who is now 10 months old and he has decided that I don't need sleep and can cuddle him all night long whilst he snoozes away.
Everytime I pop him down in his cot, pram, even beside me on the bed he screams crying! I don't feel comfortable leaving him to cry for a couple reasons, mainly because DS1 is sound asleep and would wake up to the crying and then I'd be battling 2 cranky boys.
I've tried giving him a wheetabix before bed tonight, he's eaten well through the day and he will sleep no problem, just on me!
I'm so tired and this has been going on for nearly a week!

Any advice?

Hi, no advice really. Just wanted to say my 10 month old boy is the same at the moment. Extremely unsettled due to teething I think, could it be the same for yours?
The tiredness is rubbish isn't it, I've had maybe 3 hours of broken sleep Sad

Alitlebitsleepy · 06/12/2021 07:27

Can you try co sleeping? X

Fallagain · 06/12/2021 09:44

I would get his ears checked by the GP. Ear pain is much worse when laying down. Is he teething? Teething pain is also worse at night?

@FairyWings4

It is rubbish isn't it!

He has just cut 6 all in one go so was hoping he would go back to sleeping well. It's just so hard when they can't tell you wants wrong.

@Alitlebitsleepy
I tried last night after he settled managed to get into a position that he was still able to feel me near him and he did sleep a bit longer.

@DazedandConfused135 ah that's brutal! Fingers crossed for a better night tonight. How's he been today?

Boymum101 · 06/12/2021 18:18

Can you tell me how I make a thread please

DazedandConfused135 · 06/12/2021 19:54

@FairyWings4

Been a little better and has napped and eaten better so I'm hoping he will sleep better!
How is you LO doing today?
Here's hoping we both get some sleep soon Grin

@Boymum101

I'm not sure if it's the same on all devices but on my mobile there's a little arrow and if you click that there is an option to start a new thread, if you do it from this thread it will appear in parenting I think...
I've attached a screen shot of what I mean

Hello @DazedandConfused135

DS now has two lovely front teeth so that explains a lot, he is now ill with a sniffle (I hate this time of year!) though so we are back to no sleeping. It is so wearing.

How's your LO doing now? Any improvements?

saleorbouy · 15/12/2021 20:19

We used Astons and Parsons sachets to our DC during teething they worked a treat.

DazedandConfused135 · 21/12/2021 06:23

@FairyWings4
Bless him! Hope he gets better soon and you all get some good nights sleep soon.

LO still not doing well, weve had colds here too and we have 8 teeth (6 all come through at once) and his canines are starting to come through now. Sad I'm just glad he won't remember this! I sure will Grin
Just keeping positive thoughts that if they are all coming through now then we hopefully won't have to endure these sleeples weeks much longer Xmas Confused
