Sleeping in own room

My baby is 7 months. I have moved him into his bedroom. Over 7 nights he has slept beautifully for five! Two nights he has slept in bed with me.

I am struggling most with the evening. He just won’t settle. We put him down asleep. 20 mins later he wakes up. We are going upstairs very ten minutes after that to resettle him. Until I give up and take him to bed with me.

I’m going to try sleep on his bedroom floor and hold his hand in the night. I really don’t want to make a habit of sleeping in bed with him.

Anyone struggled with this and have some advice for me? How long does it take them to get used to being in their own room?

How was he getting to sleep in your room?
He shouldn't really be put down asleep as then he will get disoriented when he wakes up and you arent there any more
