My poor son has had a cold for 2 weeks, he is only 3 weeks old today. It's mainly green snot which were using an aspirator and saline spray on, but surely it should have gone by now? He sounds snuffly and seems worse after feeding and at night.
I've noticed today that his eye looks a bit weepy and he has a nappy rash even though we change very regularly, poor chap.

Should I take him to the doctors tomorrow? Just concerned that it may be an allergy or something.

Yes if your 3 week old has been unwell for 2 weeks you need to see a doctor. It may be an allergy, it can make them very congested. If they’ve been unwell for 2 weeks without deteriorating then they should be fine but do make sure you’re careful checking breathing rate, chest recessions and any concerns straight to a and e.

Newborn with a cold is rough! My 10wo is on her second cold at the moment.

It generally takes little ones a lot longer to get over a cold than an adult. If he's just snotty with no temp or laboured breathing and seems otherwise fine, I would be tempted to leave him but definitely speak to the doctor (or your health visitor) if you are at all concerned.

You can also try taking him into the bathroom when you shower to shift the snot.
