Hi everyone.
I am just wondering has anyone on here ever used kendamil and what's your thoughts on it? I have heard a lot of good things so far. My LO is almost 10 weeks old and he was first on sma little steps when he was born but this made his stools hard and he found it difficult to go to the toilet so on HV advice changed him to sma comfort, this did ease his constipation and hard stools but after a week or so his stools were like a dark green and he seemed to be in pain when trying to poo this is an ongoing issue there is usually a few days of dark green stools then back to the normal yellow colour without pain, HV told me not to worry but I know these green stools aren't normal and the smell with them is really bad. I want to try him on kendamil as I have read really good things anyone any advice? Thanks

Yes we used to use kendamil. I can't say anything negative abou it. It seemed to be just fine. We have now switched to hipp organic as midwife said we should always give him products from the same brand and we wanted to use th ready made bottles asxwell

I've used it with my baby girl for the last 5 weeks and she's now 9 weeks old. She was exclusively breastfed for the first month but we had to stop for a number of reasons. I can honestly say she's taken so well to it and absolutely loves it! We've had no issues with colic, reflux or constipation up to now (touch wood!), and I chose this formula as it has no fish or palm oil in it and is made with full cream. The reviews on their website speak for themselves and I honestly wish I'd known about this milk when I had my first child 5 years ago. I also have signed up to their subscribe and save service which is so convenient and the milk is delivered to your door, as it is not always guaranteed to be in stock at my local Morrison's or big Tesco.

I never got to try kendamil as our local supermarket always sold out.
But HIPP organic was the only milk that didn’t give my baby green poo.

My daughter is 10 months old and on kendamil from 8 weeks old, we love it. We try few brands beforehand and kendamil was the best for her.

It’s amazing, we use it for my son (now 14 months, I really don’t want too stop buying it!) My neighbour has used it since birth for her baby and she raves about it too. You can get it in big Morrisons and Sainsburys - if you try it it suits baby you can set up a subscription with kendamil so you won’t run out.

It smells lovely, like actual milk. The others all seem really artificial tasting (we’ve tried a few). I’d say definitely go for it. Obviously rule out CMPA and all that first if there are tummy troubles, but it doesn’t sound like your wee one has that. My boy hasn’t had any tummy issues with Kendamil.

Also anecdotally I have heard bad things about SMA causing constipation, so even if you don’t choose Kendamil a switch might be a good idea x

We have used it since 6 weeks (baby is now 8 months) had a nightmare finding a milk from the start due to reflux etc. But kendamil made a huge difference and she seems to really like it
smells nice, mixes well and the credentials of it were important to me (UK made, no fish or palm oil)

You can also buy it at Tesco now and direct from them. We have a monthly order for it which reduces the worry about stock levels, as no supermarket near me seems to ever have much of it.
