Double crown

My dd has a double crown. Hairdressers have advised to brush in a certain way and that she needs her hair long for weight but they couldn't give me any tips on how to style her hair. I'm really struggling, I can put her hair up in pigtails but that's it. If I put it in a ponytail for instance her hair just pulls in different directions and looks awful.
Does anyone have any tips or sites that would give me ideas? Also, she's only 3 and only willing to wait for a limited period of time.

It's supposed to mean you are clever! I have one and it's slightly annoying. I am an adult with grown up children. It doesn't go away. You need a good hairdresser. I was able to have short hair, a medium bob and longer hair, whatever I wanted. Don't worry about it. If that's her biggest problem you are very lucky!

Thank you, I think she's amazing. It's just I feel a little judged at the minute that I'm not doing much with her hair. My dh and his family have mentioned how she never has her hair up, that I don't do much with her hair ect. I've done my nieces hair, nothing complicated with no issue, but dds hair just never looks right when I try to put it up.

My LG has a double crown her hair grows so weird but I started putting into pigtails well more like tops of pineapples and it helped it grow a lot better now she has bushy pigtails but instead of a straight parting I do a zig zag 1 and when I put her hair in a pony tail I put it I. The old fashioned half up half down so. It doesn't look as bad.. You shouldn't feel pressured to style your LG hair but have you thought about maybe headbands or some bow clips I also found not using baby shampoo helped my LG hair aswel... Hope you find something that works for you until then if everyone else is so bothered tell them to do better than you ❤️

My daughter has one. When she was a baby with short hair it was a bit wild. But now it's longer it lays better. I find a side parting helps and the hair lays flatter. I can do a centre parting for plaits etc and just get it really wet before parting and it looks fine. Also half up like pp.

DS has one - he gets a tuft sticking straight up in the middle of his head if it's cut wrong, we've been through many barbers!

My DS has one.
As a little boy it was very distinctive-earning him the loving nickname "bog brush head" (not to his face)
but it seems to have settled now that he is older and he has great hair and you don't notice it at all.

I have one, and it doesn't affect my hair styling at all

My DD has one, she has long thick hair as a 4 year old & it’s manageable. She wears pigtails most days to be honest regardless as they are the quickest & easiest thing to do. Sometimes plaits, sometimes high piggies, sometimes low ones!

We gave DD a fringe which has helped! It forces her hair forwards at the front and into a centre part on the top of her head! The back is still mad though!

I have it. I have to make do with a 'messy' ponytail or bun. Same with dd.

I have a double crown. It’s a pain in the arse. I have one chuck of hair that just grows in it’s own direction. I can put it up in a pony tail but anything more than that is too tricky. Add to that that my hair is thin and it’s a nightmare.

My DD has one, I just use alice bands when it's in a ponytail which makes it look neater, otherwise she has mainly french plaits, easier now that she sits still, I don't worry about perfect partings, just work with what you've got rather than against it 😊
