Please help!
I have a 2.5 yr old who has pretty much always been a great sleeper 7 till 7. Apart from the off illness waking or teething.
He has had an awful cold for the past week and is just getting over it, however he has just started creating at bed time. Not wanting to self settle asking us to sit with him wanting juice calpol anything other than sleep. We go in and check on him every 10 mins and say the usual its night time now it's time for sleep ect and eventually he gives in and goes to sleep. Hes in a toddler bed so gets out of bed and crys as the baby gate at his door. Anyway once asleep he has started waking at 3am or 4am screaming for me I've tried putting him back to bed over and over ect taking him in my bed but he just wont go back to sleep. So we end up downstairs watching peppa pig at 4am so we dont wake the whole house.
One very tired mummy here wanting any advise or tips Confused

Is he still napping in the day?

No not really hes not really napped in the day since he was about 18months unless it's a power nap in the car.

So he’s only getting 8-9 hours sleep per 24 hours? That’s not good. Maybe he is still unwell? Could you try having him in your bed all night (as long as you are comfortable doing this) and see if he can sleep better like that? He could be upset after being poorly and needing reassurance.

For the last 4 days that's all hes had yes he just fell asleep in the car on the way back from somewhere and when I got him out to put him down somewhere comfy to catch up he just woke straight up and is now playing!. I dont mind bed sharing with him if it means we all get more sleep but i dont know how I would then transition him back to his own bed. As hes such a creature of habit that he will just expect that every night. Xx
