Does anyone else cringe when they see photos posted on social media of babies/toddlers in completely unsafe child seats

I don't know much about car seats but know it's important for them to be a good fit, tight straps and rear facing as long as possible

But I've just seen a co worker post a picture of their 1 year old in a forward facing seat whilst wearing a thick padded coat, straps falling off their shoulders 😭

It's so difficult though as I don't want to message them and come across in the wrong way but if it was me I'd want to know..

How would you approach this?

Maybe wait a week and then share a post on your Facebook page about coats and car seats. I’m sure if you hunt around you will find loads.

@Fallagain that's a good idea. I just wouldn't want it to come across that I'm shaming her as a mum. I think I'd be quite taken back if someone told me how dangerous something id been doing was and probably also quite embarrassed.

But it is really scary seeing the picture

I hate it when I see babies in full on padded snowsuits being taken out of the car when I’m shopping.
They must think I don’t wrap mine up warm enough.
There should be better education on car seat safety, it’s hard to give advice on these things because of the way it can come across.
