I hate to talk badly of health visitors as I know a lot get a bad reputation. Mine was changed recently after my first one retired. My first one was lovely and so supportive. This one is awful. She made me cry today.
We have been having some concerns about our DS development in the communication area. She came today and was contradicting herself. Told me he should be doing this and that. When I said he wasn't she told me to throw out the guidelines but then went on to show me one for in 6 months time. I said she wasn't listening to me and she kept rolling her eyes. She then got angry and told me to calm down on the worrying and that I need to go to the doctor to get tablets for my obvious PND. (I've had depression I don't feel depressed).
I became very upset and went upstairs whilst my partner stayed with her and DS. She then said that I didn't have the right to ask for another but could refuse the service altogether. Is this right? I just want to make sure my DS is getting the help he might need in the future.
