Nursing strikes??

Can anyone help please, I'm really upset about this.

My 7.5 month old has in the past few weeks decided she doesn't want to nurse anymore, she just will not latch despite my efforts. I've tried latching her when she's sleepy, when she's hungry, dark quiet room, at night time, in the day time, with and without nipple shields... you name it. I've tried. She won't latch. She just screams at me turns away. I can't pump (I get next to nothing out) so it's nursing or nothing. This has started to go wrong basically since she began weaning at 6 months - gradually the feeds have got less and less. She is combi fed and still takes formula from a bottle fine - she just won't latch on anymore (she used to switch very well between the two pre weaning).

A BF counsellor has informed me she's very young for self weaning so doesn't think this is what's happened - she's thinks it a prolonged strike. But I'm not so sure. I'm utterly heartbroken. Does anyone have any experience or advice? Do I need to accept it's the end or might she come back? 😔

Because of the combination of combi feeding and reduced breastfeeds due to weaning onto solid foods, I'm wondering if your baby is either just not hungry enough for breastfeeds, or if your milk supply has reduced due to reduced demand and now your baby is not as interested in having to work harder for less instant satisfaction as bottle feeding or solid food? How many bottles of formula is your baby current having? And is she on 3 meals a day?
