Sidebar cot for a toddler?

My nearly one year old is impossible to settle in his cot, but I absolutely hate co sleeping with him. I hardly get any sleep and I dread nights.

Until he was six months we had a next to me crib. He’s too big for that now but I’m wondering if there is an alternative for a toddler?

We put the cot next to our bed with the side off for a while. We did this as the transition between next to me and the cot. Our child was a few months younger than yours though. Good luck!

We got a bedside cot from Mothercare years ago like a full size cot but they've closed down now

I think I've seen another company do similar I think one of the ones that do the baby size ones I'll have a look

I’ve seen people attach an ikea cot with the side down, I think with cable ties.

I saw the chico next to me but I’m not sure if it attaches for a toddler? I just need to get him out of my bed! 😂

If you google sidecar cot you will see lots of ideas, you’ve just got to make sure the mattresses are the same height and no gap between mattresses. It worked well for us and then we transitioned to his own cot successfully and he now sleeps in his own room.

We got a cot bed and strapped it to our bed with the side off. DS is in it now as a cot, it'll probably last him until he's 4 as a bed!
