Best toys for 6-9 year olds

Hi, I'm starting some new work with children aged 6-9 years old and I'm wondering what the most fun/engaging toys are for kids of this age. Ideally, I'm looking to buy toys that are easy to pack up/move around as I'll be bringing them with me to children's houses. I've only worked with toddlers and preschoolers before now, so any ideas for toys/activities for older children would be really welcomed. Thanks! :)

By the time they get to that age, they’re all so different.
For example, my dd loves Hama beads, Spirograph, Lite Brite, Lego dots and Fimo.
My DS loves Gravitrax, Knex, his light tracing box, Sphero mini and sticker by numbers.

I work with this age group and have 2 of my own, it's a tricky age and the difference in those years is huge!

Hama beads (IKEA ones are good), White boards and markers, fidget toys (particularly pop it's, spinners and puzzle balls), swing ball, puzzle books, Jigsaws, yes/no card game, table top air hockey and Dobble are probably the most played with here.
