Handling nerves

DD is almost 7. She has always been a good sleeper but this last week she has struggled to go to sleep and has complained of tummy ache. We have managed to get to the reason and she is nervous about an upcoming show that her dance class are doing, it will be her first one. How can I help her? We have talked about it and explained nerves are normal and even we adults get nervous but I'm stuck as to how to help her switch off at night.

Maybe a worry doll that looks after her worries over night? Or a worry box that takes it out of head for the night?
Anther option is listening to an audio story etc to distract her as she drifts off

I like the idea of a worry box, that might work. Unfortunately an audiobook won't work, she generally listens to them anyway but they have never had the effect of making her fall to sleep!
