High chair recommendations (not IKEA)

Looking for high chair recommendations as we wanted to go for the IKEA Antilop but it’s completely out of stock and has no restock date due to supply chain issues.

Does anyone have any recommendations for easy to clean & practical high chairs?

The Bebe Style Classic high chair is similar. I got it for £12 in Asda though it looks like it's out of stock online but you could try ringing your local. Otherwise it's on Ebay (at an inflated price).

Facebook marketplace for an antelope 🤣.

Antilops are often available on Facebook marketplace or lurking around in charity shops.

May not have the cushion insert but we didn't use ours anyway, it was just a grot magnet.

Asda and Smyths do a similar chair.
I have the Smyths one and I find it better, it has a footrest and a 5 point harness.

Thanks!
@LifeIsBusy forget about FBMP as I don’t have Facebook but that’s a good call- thanks!

Yeh definitely check out Marketplace or eBay. I picked up two IKEA ones for a fiver each.

Look for a high chair with straps that can be detached and put through the washing machine.

Thanks all!
Can’t find any IKEA high chairs for sale near us on FBMP so need to try and find an alternative. Anyone have any other good suggestions for high chairs?

Second hand baby bjorn. Brilliant high chair but £££ new.

dementedpixie · 06/12/2021 21:37

Several people have already suggested alternatives

Etherealhedgehog · 06/12/2021 21:42

If you do manage to track down an Antilop, there are lots of sellers on Etsy who make wipe-clean covers (so useful, I think the IKEA ones are machine wash only) and also sell the cushion insert for pretty much the same price as IKEA

fdt474 · 06/12/2021 22:15

Antilop is quite simply the best - I would definitely try to pick one up secondhand if you can.

mnahmnah · 06/12/2021 22:21

We loved our Cosatto 360. It’s a pedestal design so takes up less floor space, no sticking out legs. Easy to clean. Super comfy. The high back is supportive, reclines or goes quite upright.

roseswade · 07/12/2021 23:11

Thanks everyone!

@dementedpixie 2 people had. I asked for some more.

Second hand trip trapp?

Notbluepeter · 08/12/2021 21:10

The cosatto noodle has recently been redesigned and it's even better than it was before (on our second one). 5 point harness (antilop doesn't and my LO definitely needs it!) straps are detachable, adjustable foot rest (antilop doesn't have one) easy wipe clean remove covers, newborn insert which we use as a cushion now our LO is bigger but still needs some extra height.

bebe style high chair from Asda- £14.50 paid and they always seem to have a couple in store.
You can make it shorter for when they are older and it has a 5 point harness.

LakeShoreD · 09/12/2021 13:59

Tripp Trapp! Not the cheapest but if you want to justify it, it has a much longer shelf life than your average highchair.

GuidingSpirit · 09/12/2021 14:09

I had this same issue. I really wanted a tripp trapp but could not justify spending £250+ once youve bought all the bits, and the ones on fb marketplace didnt look in great condition. I couldn't find an antilop online either but put a request for one on our community page (not marketplace) and got one that way. I've then spent £50 on accessories for it Grin

If i hadn't found the antilop, i was going to get the john lewis safari highchair for £70 instead
