Perfect prep question

Hi just wondering how to discard water from prep machine. For example if the water was in there at the end of the day I'd like to dispense it and fill fresh water. Do I pull the hopper out and empty it or do I run the cycle to allow it to dispense?

If you have the day and night version, on settings there is an option which says "empty tank" or something similar. Just press that and it will empty.

Not sure on the older machine though

Ive got the older version and there's an empty tank button on the side.
