My 2 year old has been refusing his 12.30-2pm nap for the past week or two. Not sure I can face persevering as he gets pretty worked up although a few people have said it could be a phase. Anyway, now the afternoons seem very long! What's your average routine at home once naps stop?
We try to get out in the morning and uses to always have lunch around 11.30 as he napped after that but now having lunch that early he's done by 12 and then it's a long time to fill until dinner! I'm trying to do quiet time in his room which lasts about 5 mins max at the moment! I sometimes put the TV on but used to always have it on for a bit before dinner whilst I made it so I feel guilty now if I have it on for a bit after lunch and then again pre dinner. Did you do any changes once naps stopped?

I moved lunch to 12.30 and introduced a choosing time in place of a nap after lunch where DD could watch tv, read a book, play with her toys or play a game on my iPad but basically where I sat down and had a cup of tea and 30 mins to an hour by where I wasn’t playing etc. I had a new baby at the time so a bit of a break was desperately needed by that time. DD got quite into it and even a year later we often still do that
