Need some advice from more experienced parents please. Posted on sleep but no replies so thought I would try here.

My dc 16mo sleeps for 2 hours at home over lunch, but won't sleep at grandparents when I'm at work and will therefore go all day without anything sometimes.

They have a travel cot and quiet room, and they have tried it all- white noise, dark room, lovely pre nap routine with stories and cuddles.

They can occasionally achieve a nap if they go for a walk or drive but will be 20 mins max.

Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? I'm stuck as to what to advise them and feel a bit sorry for them- and my dc!!

We have the same with our 15 month old and we had the same with our DD now 3 - the only way grandparents could get a decent nap was at our house, could grandparents look after him at yours? The other thing that worked with Dd was putting her in front of “daydreams” (the hour long version) on iplayer in a bouncer (we had a large one that went up to 3 yrs - fisher price) with a bottle & she would either doze or at least rest. But depends if you/ they are happy with that.

@Lostthetastefordahlias
Thank you so much for your reply. Even if it is just that I will have to accept little to no sleep will happen ok those days, it's good to know I'm not the only one
