Changing mam teats

Hi all,

My 16 weeks old baby he is still using stage 2 mam teats, and I was wondering when should I change them to a stage 3, bearing in mind he was 3 weeks early so I'm not sure if that's has an affect as he's only just gone onto 6oz bottle about 2 weeks ago so I wasn't sure if we should put him on stage 3 or not as I know they say 4+ months on the package

Thankyou

If he seems happy with the flow rate then there's no need to change the size. If he starts fussing during feeds or not having as much as usual it may be time to switch.

I think i changed my daughters around 6/7 months to stage 3- but she was also breastfed so I wasnt in a rush to introduce a faster teat. Other poster is right, dont feel obligated to change if your little one is content

My little boy didn’t get on with stage 3 initially. I tried at 4 months as he showed some signs but went back to 2. I don’t think he went to stage 3 until he was 7 months in the end. Don’t feel rushed, if he is content don’t change.

You don’t have to change. We never did, DS still has a bedtime bottle at 16mo with a stage 1 on it.
