6 weeks old sleeps for 12 hours which is brilliant but end up really wet in the morning. He doesn’t wake up being so wet but I would like advice how to stop this. He is in size 2 nappies

He sleeps 12 hours straight?! That’s very unusual…

Anycolourwilldo · 22/11/2021 21:16

What brand are you using? Pampers are more expensive than some of the others but keep my DS dry.

WheelieBinPrincess · 22/11/2021 21:17

He’s wet because he urinates in the night, because he can’t get up to use the loo.

Hope that helps.

Why are you being sarcastic? She's just asking for advice.

On how to stop a baby weeing during the night?

Vbree · 22/11/2021 21:20

I've found Pampers to be the most absorbent, and they are worth the extra money.

WheelieBinPrincess · 22/11/2021 21:21

Call me cynical, I have reported.

Ilikecheeseontoast · 22/11/2021 21:23

Definitely Pampers. Everything else leaked for my kids x

abw94 · 22/11/2021 21:23

Asda's own were the best I found for not leaking

Smurf123 · 22/11/2021 21:24

My dd is 4 months and often sleeps 10 hours but also isn't changed during the night unless soiled if she does wake for a feed as she's happy to feed and go straight back to sleep but nappy change annoys and Wales her too much. We use pampers premium and while it is heavy in morning it doesn't leak and she's not red or anything they are good for overnights.
As long as it's not bothering him (and he no nappy rash etc) I wouldn't worry too much

Theeasypeasywoman · 22/11/2021 21:28

Pampers. My 4.5 months started sleeping through the night (10pm-6am) from 6 week old as well and I started using pampers baby dry as every other nappy leaked. My DD is in now size 4 nappies and I only use nappy pants as they don't leak at all and easy to put on with a wiggly baby. just a bit of leak from sides rarely with poop but other than that, they are brilliant !

MsSquiz · 22/11/2021 21:31

Could you change him while he sleeps?
Does he not even wake up for a feed in 12 hours? It's pretty unusual.

If it were me, I would wake dd up to give her a feed and change her nappy then

Bellfor · 22/11/2021 21:40

Terry cloth + decent wrap

bookish83 · 22/11/2021 21:44

Wow people can be so rude!

OP I'm guessing you mean that the babygrow is wet?
You could try sizing up to size 3 and see if that helps, or doing a quick nappy change in the dark might be the answer. Amazing that they sleep so long but if the nappy is leaking out you do need to change it for comfort and rash if nothing else
