Cold after cold

Is anyone else with a child in a nursery/primary school setting finding that this has been absolutely non-stop since September?

I feel like my 3.5 year old swaps one cold for another for another and has got sniffles most of the time... As do I :|

Nursery seem to think that this is the same with everyone, but it just seems a bit relentless.

My niece has had a cold literally since June from being at nursery.

I'm on first name terms with the security guard at the local Covid test centre.

It is relentless.

I’ve seen grandchild toddler twice since October, got her cold twice, flooring me on both occasions, first cold I was ill for three weeks, I’m 9 days in with this one and haven’t had any voice since Friday with an awful sore throat. Keep doing negative lateral flow tests. I want to see her at Christmas but am really wondering if I should. Totally fed up, her mum says she got a constant snotty nose. I feel I am missing out of her being little.

It's the same here!

We've had back to back colds/coughs since end of September. My 3.5yr old is at nursery 3 days a week.
All the kids seem to have snotty noses and coughing.
It's relentless! Feel like I'm forever buying calpol and tissues. Then we all get them.
So much broken sleep and missed work/nursery days. All whilst having to keep testing for covid just in case but it's never been that.

So no advice as such but wanted to say you're not alone!

I read somewhere that the lockdowns last winter meant this winter coughs and colds are more prevalent. But I think sometimes it's just the way it goes.

Fingers crossed it'll all get better soon and we get more than a few days without another cold! Hmm

Yep. 14 month old has been in nursery since Aug and had a permanently runny nose plus various other illnesses since mid Sept.

Same as previous poster, I caught one of those colds and was floored for three weeks. Never known anything like it.
We're currently on iteration 484738 of a cold at the moment. It's incessant!

My ds aged 8 has had what we’ve called a weekend cold. Each weekend for a few months now. Crazy. Our other 3 kids are fine. Just him

DD 13mo has been none stop since September too, with several hospital admissions. She shows mild signs of improvement; then goes back down with something else. She’s sharing them with me too, with the “super cold” lasting 3weeks! It’s relentless. Sorry no advice.
