Breastfed baby suddenly not drinking from bottle

My son is 13 weeks tomorrow, is exclusively BF but has had expressed milk no problems from a tommee tippee bottle, we have tried over the past couple of days but he won’t take it at all, he screams and pushes it out of his mouth

I’m panicking because I’m going to London for the day in December and will be gone from 8.30am till 2am the next day!

Any tips???

Is it possible that someone tried to make him take a bottle when he didn’t want it and he developed a bottle aversion as a result? If so leave the bottles for a few days, then try again but if he doesn’t want the bottle then take the bottle away immediately.

If you can’t get him to take a bottle then see if he’ll drink from a cup or spoon when you are away.

Has he regularly had a bottle, or did you try it a ffe weeks ago and not since?

Could a different flow teat be required if he is a bit bigger now?

Was your DP giving the bottle, with you well out of the way?

I would try a bigger size teet ( like size 2 for 3 months plus, tommee tippee) babies can get frustrated if the flow is too slow. Mine did. X

I'd echo trying a bigger size teat. Also, annoyingly our baby got really fussy about temperature around this age whereas she hadn't been bothered before. Perhaps try making sure it's warm enough before feeding?

He doesn’t have a bottle regularly but has had it a couple of times a month with no problems until now.
Yesterday we tried while I was out of the house and he still wouldn’t take it

I will leave it a few days and try again with a bigger teet size

Thank you everyone ☺️

My daughter was exactly the same. She took a bottle once a day everyday until about 7 weeks - then one day just refused.

I have tried different bottles, teats, temperates, expressed milk, formula the works and she has never taken a bottle since. She's 8 months now and still wouldn't take one but has just started drinking a little milk from a 360 cup.

Sorry that I have no helpful advice for you!
