Ditching the dummy!

I need help! I feel like we are definitely going through the 8-10 month regression, Alice has gone from waking in the night once for a feed and maybe the occasional putting back in of the dummy, to waking nearly every hour to have her dummy put back in. I feel like we need to get rid of it but I know this is going to mean crying and her having to relearn to settle herself without it. If it was just her I wouldn't be bothered but the fact that we also have a 2 1/2-year-old really stresses me out because I am concerned it is going to wake her up and ruin her sleep too!
Any ideas???

To be honest in your situation I would keep it because the 8-10 month regression is a hard one anyway. I'd ride it out and get rid of the dummy when you can reason with her around maybe 2 instead.
