Newborn can't nap due to noisy household.

I've got a 3 year old and an 8 week old. Trouble I'm having is when my 8 week old naps. When she needs to nap she's constantly being disturbed by how noisy it is in my house especially with my 3 year old so she's not getting adequate daytime sleep. The advice is obviously to keep baby in the same room so I stumped on what to do. My toddler can't be expected to be quiet through nap times. How do others do this?

If I’m somewhere noisy or chatting with other I find DS will sleep well in a stretchy wrap sling. Especially with his head tucked in, it helps to shut out the world a bit.

White noise is your friend here. It just takes the edge off the noisy toddler.

Have you tried white noise? Or sling naps? Both of those might work. Or nap in pram in hallway with door ajar and white noise on?
