Advice???

So my nearly 7 week old newborn has started to shove his fist in his mouth, but it's getting to the point where he is making himself gag. I know it is one of his feeding cues but it is usually when he hasn't long had a bottle. Usually i will make him another bottle to see if he is still hungry but he will just refuse it. I also offer him a dummy to see if he just wants something to comfort him but he just spits it out!!!

I'm not sure what else i can do and it's really frustrating because i don't want him to hurt himself :(

Any advice would be great!!

Could he be teething OP? 🥰

Our baby did this too. Wasn't hungry or keen on the dummy, eventually she started sucking her thumb but would push it too far in and gip. Now she is chewing on her fist and I think it is an early sign of teething, she's 3mth. Our son had his 1st tooth through at 15wk so they can start quite early.

It's just what they do.
It's part of exploring. :)
They will stop gagging on it and it won't actually hurt them :)

Most likely just finding his hands, I remember my daughter actually making herself vomit once or twice, it will pass quickly.
