Nappy cream question

FTM so apologies if I'm being clueless.

DD has nappy rash at the moment, over her bum and also the outside of her vulva. I mentioned to nursery and when she came home today she had white cream (I think sudocrem as I have a vague memory of providing it to them about 6 months ago with instructions to only use if she had a sore bum but it's never been needed before) all over including inside her labia. That's not right, is it? As I say, FTM so pretty clueless but I'd never put cream there myself so never have with DD.

I'm planning to mention this tomorrow but just wanted to check that it's not normal practice. Thanks!

I have boys so probably not the same but sudocream I thought you could literally put anywhere. Xx

Ignore my comment I didn't read it correctly your more worried about where they placed the cream. I'm unsure but hopefully someone will come along to help xx

I’ve had to put in inside my DD labia before when she’s been sore. I’d not put any inside the vagina but inside the labia should be fine.

It it looked red I put cream on it. I'd dab at areas that could be reached rather than delve to cover all areas though if that makes sense? I also found it sometimes worked it's way into places I didn't necessarily put it.

Not what you asked, but Metanium yellow is best.

If you put it on liberally and quickly it will get everywhere, you can’t be sure where they actually applied it.
Baby vulvas must be pretty resistant when you think how often you have to clean no. 2 out of there, I don’t think you can compare it with yourself.

Yeah if it's sudo cream it gets everywhere like pp said. A lot of wriggling and movement and it would be all over the place.

And yes yellow one best.

If I had to put it on my nieces or nephews I would use abit of toilet roll or put it on the nappy so when nappy on it would touch there skin. You told them to use it if she was so so they where just doing what you told them to do.
