Do you insist on your children calling their bum their anus too?

'Don't forget to wipe your anus darling'

'Sweetie, did you flush and wipe your anus?'

If not why not? Just wondering Grin

@Tal45

To me the whole abuse thing is nonsense. Unless you're using some very bizarre nickname then teachers are going to know the pet names for genitals as well as anyone else. Who doesn't know what willy or fanny or tuppence are? Also if a child said 'Uncle X was touching my....' there is so much work done on safeguarding that any teacher would immediately be on high alert whatever word was put in after that.
Yes this was evidenced on a thread here a couple weeks ago where a teacher questioned a parent after their child referred to bedtime as 'lovely time' or something

@shinynewapple21

It lessens the chance of the abuse continuing as the child is able to alert professionals as to what is happening and they are able to act.
This makes sense. But I see so many times people claiming that knowing correct terms lessens chances of abuse which I find incredibly annoying and misleading.

Sorry but still seems a very strange thing for that little girl to say. Why didnt she say daddy changed my top? Saying he touched her nipples is rather specific. Also who the fuck calls nipples flowers ffs.

Well, it might lessen the chances. As we know, most crimes of that nature are perpetrated by those who know the child well. If the adult knows that the kid is armed with correct terminology and not shy about discussing the area in question, I think there's a good chance they'd be put off trying anything.
