8 month old routine

How do you entertain an 8 month old all day?
I feel like we watch way too much TV (which I feel dreadful for letting happen)
I just don't have a lot of energy, he seems bored and frustrated, he's certainly bored with most of his toys. I really try, we read a book, roll around, sing and stack things etc, go for a walk - but eight hours is a very long time to fill! How do I avoid sticking the telly on, and do this properly?
Thanks!

I have an 8 month old. I would say make the most of it while you can! mine is on the cusp of learning to crawl and I know (she’s my 3rd) sitting with a cup of tea will soon be a thing of the past!!

Seriously though do you go to any groups? We go to a couple of baby groups which are great.
Mine also likes to play with anything she thinks she’s not allowed. So she loves it when I get her wooden spoons and saucepans to play with or ripping up old pieces of paper is also fun apparently…

I struggle to keep my 7.5mo entertained too.

A few ideas:

Lie on your back, sit him on your shins and bounce him up and down.

Sit him on the bed and push him over.

Floor to ceiling baby lifts (a great intensive workout for Mummy)

Have you exhausted all possible household objects which can safely be used as toys yet?

Take him out whenever you can.

Stand him up, supporting him by the hips,
