I'm in the middle of a hand, foot and mouth outbreak thanks to my lovely DD and I currently want to scratch off my skin, so please distract me with the best things you've bought for your kids room. My DD is about to turn 1 and move into her own room and I'm trying to figure out what would be lovely to put into it. As well as her toys, I've got a wardrobe (with built in drawers), an IKEA changing table (for toy storage, she's too big for it) a cot and some cloud hooks from h&m. Any decor ideas very welcome!

Or furniture / must have toys.

Storage, storage and more storage. Oh and those IKEA skubb boxes in drawers for keeping all socks and pants tidy.

The Ikea dolls house/shelves has been a huge hit. Hung at her level. And the trolley they do for toys.

I think a sheepskin is lovely and cozy. We also have a very large 3-4ft high realistic llama plush that stands in the corner and has a sweet whimsical expression. I love him though he doesn't have a name yet. What about some big floor pillows for reading/cuddle time?

Bit young yet but a clothes rail for dressing up outfits and a full length mirror to dance in front of!

MariaDingbat · 16/11/2021 14:10

Floor stuff! I hadn't even thought of that, thank you. We have a sheepskin in the living room for her to lay on since she was born so another in her room for reading and cuddle time would be great.

I love the IKEA dolls House shelf too, thanks.

What's a moredig projector?

Under her pull out storage boxes. I kept spreading bedding in when they were babies/toddlers but now they contain toys and are easy for them to get out on their own and esy to chuck everything back in and out away.

Sorry that should say under bed.

Spice racks for book shelves. A reading corner with bean bag or the ikea swivel chair if you have space.
