Post partum hair loss??

Hi, I'm currently 3 months PP and my hair seems to be falling out more than ever.

Every time I look at baby girl she seems to have a strand of hair stuck to her hands or in her mouth or around her dummy 😫
I'm so worried about these horror stories you hear of babies getting hair tied around their fingers or toes!

My hair is constantly tied back but it still seems to be everywhere!

Any tips for dealing with the hair loss? Any products that have helped?

Just jumping on as I'm now 4months pp and my hair started falling out around the 3months mark too. I thought I'd escaped it 😑. But like you it's always in my babies hands, on her clothes etc. Comes out in big chunks when brushing or if I run my hands through it 😞. I know it's normal pp but if anyone has any advice on what can help that would be great!

Three month mange, it's bloody awful isn't it.

It's hormonal and will settle, I'm 3mth pp too and noticed it getting quite bad.

Eating well and exercising help with hormone balance.

Mine started at 3 months and stopped at 6 months. It was horrible as l have thick hair that not even a scrunchie or two could hold. It grew back and my hair seems much healthier now.

It will grow back its just hair that you no longer need

Mine is pretty bad, I usually get my hair thinned every month as its so thick but have only needed a trim the past month, might try to up my vitamins see if it helps.

I used juice plus berry capsules and it slowed down the hair loss and actually helped it grow a lot quicker!

7 months PP and mines is still coming out. It peaked 4-5 months to the point it caused a blockage in my bath / shower pipes.
I tried upping vitamins, biotin & it didn’t help. I had bald patches at the front.

got blood work done to check any underlying issues. Stopped using heat (until recently I’ll diffuse my hair), trying to stop tight hair styles also! And my hairs starting to grow back. It does come out a bit in the shower / when combing but half of what it was before.

I hope yours is short lived. It is just hormonal but is rubbish / can get you down xx

Unfortunately you're probably in the peak of it and just need to wait it out.

I combed my hair in the shower to get as much out at once as I could, preventing it falling out all over the house. Also beware of vitamins and supplements claims. Most people start taking them when the hair loss is really bad, then it gets better as it naturally does but they attribute that to the expensive products (ahem - influencers trying to flog you something)
