Tommie Tippee perfect prep + anti colic bottles

Has anyone worked out how to use the perfect prep machine with anti colic bottles?

Tommie Tippee recommend stirring rather than shaking formula in the anti colic bottles to reduce the creation of foam, but with the perfect prep stirring doesn’t seem to do the job as you’re only stirring into the ‘hot shot’ not the full quantity of water.

Shaking without the plastic insert/stem means formula goes everywhere, and shaking withwith the plastic insert/stem means it gets all gunky before you put it back in.

Not sure if I’m being stupid/sleep deprived but we can’t work out how to use the TT bottles with the machine in a way that makes sense!

We bought lids that you use to shake the bottles. We do hot shot, shake, rest of water, shake then put long stem bit in then the other bit. I don't think it cause too much bubbles and it settles down quickly of it does.

Ah I see! So if doesn’t matter if it gets bubbles in? This is brilliant, thank you!

Sorry, link fail! Do the hot shot and powder, out the blank lid on and shake, fill up with rest of water and then put the bottle back together like normal. We don’t find it creates too many bubbles either

Agree with pp. Get the lids. One came with my machine. Or make it in a standard bottle and pour it in?

We used doctor brown bottles, similar system. Never shook them, just sort of 'swirled' the formula and hot shot around. It worked fine.

I've just come across this feed having found myself asking the same question tonight after switching to these bottles earlier today. Is it possible to put the formula in, do the hot shot and then go straight into the cold water and THEN mix with a spoon?

Also, where do you rest the straw part of the bottle whilst doing all this and still keeping it sterile?!
