Food allergy?

Hi all,
Has anyone else’s LO developed a food allergy at any point? My DD (16 months) has been having really bad diarrhoea for nearly a week now but it only happens morning and night time, she is also very snotty and sneezing all the time. I just put this all down to her being born during the pandemic and picking everything up easily but when reading the NHS website these symptoms can be related to a good allergy.
With it being the weekend I cannot make a GP appointment so is it worth waiting until morning or bothering with out of hours.

I dont think being snotty and having a cold is anything to do with being born during the pandemic, babies/toddlers tend to pick up bugs easily anyway.

My 19mo have just got over a long bout of this. Turns out it was diet related, not allergic to anything but just having a bit too much fruit. I cut back his fruit intake and its sorted. Also, saliva and mucous can cause loose stools if they swallow it, so that might be it if you says shes particularly snotty right now. Other than that, have you noticed a trigger or a food that she eats at that time that could cause it? Keeping a food diary for her can be quite useful if you suspect an allergy but can work out the trigger.

@Letsallscreamatthesistene thanks for the reply. When looking on the NHS website, runny/blocked noses, sneezing etc can all be related to food allergies that’s what triggered me to think it could be. She only tends to have bad diarrhoea in the morning and at night and this is when she had her bottles of milk so unsure if that could be the problem or wether it is just a bug yet again.

My 18 month old has suddenly had bouts of diarrhoea in the morning after her milk and is sneezing, blocked nose etc. it’s quite common for her to get diarrhoea when coming down with something and also when she’s teething along with the stuffiness. Could be molars? Has your DD got them yet? My DD is just getting hers so putting her symptoms down to that.

@Vicky1989x maybe It could be dietary related then. Will have to ring the GP on Monday. DD woke up absolutely covered in diarrhoea this morning, not sure how she’d slept like that but it is quite severe, I’m having to bath her nearly every time
