Parent and child parking

I know everyone loves a parking thread so thought I share this here.

I've just got to our leisure centre for a yoga class. Now it is 8pm so in fairness I do not expect there to be many parents with babies or young children here. I also feel that after 8 it's kinda ok to park there as the people who need it aren't likely to be around.

But someone has parked their motorbike in the parent and child spaces.... I mean a motorbike in an extra wide space... that's clearly taking the piss lol.

But you just said you feel it's kinda ok to park in them after 8 o'clock Confused

If it's a free for all after 8pm then it's a free for all. Perhaps its a female biker who is doing a 2 hour gym session and doesnt want to walk too far in the dark to her bike or be too far from the safety of the doorways before heading off. Perhaps its a massive, burly male biker who just fancied a shorter walk! I fail to see what difference it being a motorbike makes?

Yes i agree the motorbike parking there is silly. If a space is allocated for certain people it doesn't matter what time it is.

Surely you have contradicted yourself. If you think it’s ok to park there without a child surely the mode of transport doesn’t matter?

Obviously my lol wasn't clear enough.

At this time of night there's no parents here with young kids who need the space so fair enough, but a bike parked there just seems funny.

Especially when there is dedicated bike parking that's free the other side of the entrance - so any lone female biker would walk just as far to use that as to where they'd park. Not to mention this car park is well lit.

It makes a change from the selection of sports cars parked there in the day time.
