Baby grunting/straining

Hi everyone. I have a 9 week old son that just seems to be in constant discomfort, especially at night time. He is constantly grunting/straining. In the day time it comes and goes but at night time it’s consistent where he only sleeps around 20-40 mins and then is grunting again. We went to the doctors a few weeks ago who said it could be reflux and prescribed him gaviscon but that just made him worse so we stopped giving it. I’ve tried all the usual things - sitting him upright for feeds, keeping him upright 20-30 mins after feeds, tummy massage, bicycle legs, infacol, tummy time, burping every 2 oz, feeding smaller amounts and more often. I feel like I’m just at a dead end now. Should I try him on different formula or bottles? He’s currently drinking aptamil and has anti colic tommee tippee bottles. Any help/advice would be great!
