Baby's first cold - any tips?

5mo DS has come down with his first cold. Blocked nose, sneezing, chesty cough.

I have calpol, although it doesn't seem like he has a temp. Sleep was not good last night!

Any tips for a FTM to help ease him (& me) through this?

Ah it's horrible. The Nuby snot sucker is v effective although my DD HATED it.

Other stuff I've found good are the calculations vapour plug ins at night and also sitting in the bathroom with the shower on boiling so it gets steamy.

Hope your LO feels better soon.

Oh bless! Yes to Calpol, raise head end of cot if you can, saline drops for nose before feeds, Calpol plug in is popular. Hope you can manage to get a nap!

Calpol plug in was an absolute wonder for helping ours sleep when he's had colds or even congestion from teething
