Toddler sick

My two year old vomited twice yesterday and barely ate anything also had a fever of 38.5 , perfectly fine all night slept through no vomiting since but fever of 38-39 as soon as calpol wears off and very sleepy/ dopey. Surely it’s not a sickness bug if only vomited twice ? Slightly worried as family member who my child has been in close contact with for past few days had a positive lft test. Does it sound like it could be covid ?

Yes it does. Do a PCR test, lots of fluids and calpol every 4 hours

Hope they feel better ASAP

Definitely do a test.

Calpol.

Lots of fluids. Or ice lollies if they won't take fluids/can't keep them down.

Advice please…son 3 years old. Woke up yesterday absolutely fine, throughout day seemed to be coming down with something had nap at noon woke up at 4pm with high temp and could barely swallow. Took him to a&e confirmed tonsilitis and gave antibiotics told to alternate calpol and nurofen and give fluids. Today he has been so sleepy, been awake couple hours at time but seems dazed and just wants to sleep, family and friends have advised to just let him sleep and keep checking and giving fluids every so often. He’s still having wet nappies but seems slightly lethargic to me. Don’t know if I’m just worried sick and reading into things too much, just looking for some advice and if anyone else has experienced the same :(
