Ideas for activities - dark afternoons

My toddler (2y) isn’t up from his nap until 3:30/4pm which sometimes feels a bit late for going out for a walk/to the park (by the time we are up and out it’s already getting darker).

I hate being stuck indoors until his bedtime, if we’re at home he just wants to watch TV. Any ideas of things we can do together that doesn’t involve a screen?

Ideas so far:
Swimming
Soft play - most 3pm session, trying to find one with a slightly later time slot
Shops
Garden centre
Pet shop to see the fish
Pop round Nanny’s

Following with interest.
I normally save activities and outdoor stuff for before lunch. Then after his nap it's just playing in his room together until dinner and bath...
