16 month old routine out the window

Hi all,
Since the clocks went back im really struggling with my DD’s routine. Usually she would go to sleep on the night time between 7-7:30, we are putting her to bed at the same time still but she is waking at 6am and instead of getting 1 big nap in she is having 2 which is pushing her bedtime to later and she is still rising at 6am so not getting enough overnight sleep.

Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to make this better.
TIA

Waking at 6 is completely normal OP. I do advise you to stop one nap though...whichever nap is happening later in the day, stop it. Do something absolutely fascinating with her when she gets sleepy as though she needs a nap.

I remember having a similar issue and I'd pull out finger paints, blow bubbles, start a wild game...anything to push her through to bedtime.

If she was smaller I wouldn't advise this but one nap at 16 months is plenty.

I have to warn you though...waking at 6 might just be her time to wake up. Mine did and still do!

Agree with PP, just make sure she only has 1 nap. 6am is pretty normal though so that might just be her new wake up time.

Stop the later nap and move bedtime earlier whilst she adjusts. 6-6.30pm bed would be in line with a 6am wake up and once you’ve got her back to 12 hours a night and only 1 nap you can gradually nudge it forward until you’re at a more sociable 7-7ish schedule again.

Sounds really tough, might be overtiredness on the first day of clocks changing and the shock to the system has found a new equilibrium, If you can revert temporarily to BST and the old routine an hour early, and then move it ten minutes a day from BST to GMT that might work better. Also get a big cardboard box and cut a square the same size as the window and put that in overnight, that might help with morning wake-ups if the sunrise is causing it.
Good luck
