For anyone that has decorated the IKEA kids kitchen...

Hello,

I picked up one of the IKEA kids kitchens in the bargain basement and plan to "do it up" for my DS for Xmas.

( I will post this in the Xmas thread too )

How would I go about decorating it? I have no idea where to start 🙂

I will post a photo of what I think looks fab.

We’ve not decorated ours yet, but if you google there’s a lot of tutorials out there. You can also buy specially made stickers from sellers on etsy

When my older kids were small I chalk board painted the back so if you turned it round they could use as a shop, cafe or puppet theatre.

I made this for DS a few years ago.

All the wood is primed and spray painted

The backing is a large piece of poster board from hobbycraft covered is sticky vinyl

The worktop is also covered in the vinyl stuff. Got a small roll of both from b&q

The taps and handles are also spray painted

The sink is glued down to stop DS taking it out continuously

That is absolutely amazing, Wintersfell. Nicer than a lot of actual real life kitchens 😁

If you want super easy thestickerhouse (www.thestickerhouse.co.uk/collections/duktig-play-kitchen) do fab stickers for it (I'm nothing to do with the company but really impressed by the quality of the stickers I bought from them for my kallax unit)
