Nappy leaking wee on every car journey - advice please!

Hi lovelies,

Has anyone experienced their toddlers nappy leaking wee on every car journey and saturating their outfit? Always having to take multiple back-up outfits (this might be the norm but I’m a first time mum over here 🙈)

I’ve put it down to where the harness is snug and secure around little one that it’s smushing the nappy and not allowing the wee to flow down into the nappy.

Just wondering if this is just one of those annoying stages and will end when DD is potty trained or if it doesn’t sound quite right.

Many thanks!

Compression leak. I used to change DS right before leaving the house to try to help, baby DD gets them now and again in the car seat and buggy. Is she wearing a popper vest as well? I found it was better when we stopped using vests.

I always change DD nappy before a journey but it doesn’t seem to help. Gah! Yeah little one does still wear those popper vest. I might have to try without a vest on one or two journeys to see if it makes any difference for us! :) I have thought trying bigger nappy just on journeys to see if it would make any difference but I’m not sure it would as it’ll still be the same situation with the compression.

It might also be worth trying a bigger nappy, so there's more give in it.

I found the Huggies Pull Up training pants much better for this age. They hold quite a lot but don’t seem to puff up in the same way a nappy does.
