15 month old refusing food

My 15 month old son had been a brilliant eater since he was weaned but for the last 4 days he’s refusing his dinner at 5:30. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are fine, just dinner he doesn’t seem to want. I’m offering food I know he likes but he’s just spitting it out and crying. Is this normal?

There are lots of reasons he could be doing this so try not to worry. He might not be hungry, he may be tired. If she's eating his other meals I'd try not to worry.

If mine didn't fancy tea I would just offer some supper later before bed.

It's fine don't worry.

My DC started doing this a month or so back, so around the same age as yours and it was his molars coming through. He was ok after a week or so, although they're still not completely through Hmm

My first thought would be molars. Teeth will hurt more in the evening when he's tired. Could you offer a bigger lunch and then something easy like porridge or weetabix for tea? The clocks changing will also throw things out.

Thanks everyone for your replies, he has had quite a busy weekend so tiredness is definitely possible, he’s also dribbling a bit so it could be more teeth coming through 😬 I’ll try giving him a bigger lunch and lighter dinner and see how it goes x
