How to cut fingernails...?

6 mth ds is like Edward Scissorhands. HATES getting his fingernails cut. Any tips? TIA!

Ah, ok. No alternative suggestion here I'm afraid. We always knew with DS that about 20 mins after he fell asleep you could do almost anything to him - eg that's when we'd put the eye drops in when he had conjunctivitus and he'd sleep through it.

Bite them - pretend to be doing little kissy things on his finger. Couldn't have got near either of mine with a pair of scissors without risking them losing a finger!

I take it you've tried nibbling them off? I had to chew off DS's TOEnails until he was 2 years old, he put up such a fight over the clippers.

Also, just try to do a couple per day, rather than all 10 at a go.
