Baby/toddler hates being in the house?

I’m sure this probably is normal, but I just want to check.

My 15 month old is like Jekyll and Hyde depending on wether he is in or out our house. Out and about, he’s charming, fun to be around and easy. He goes in the car or the buggy with minimal fuss, which is great. In the house however, he’s bored and furious and cries and whinges at me none stop! I can’t engage him in anything (books, toys, tv) for more than 5 minutes without him losing it!

I don’t mind too much, but it’s pretty exhausting feeling I need to be out all the time apart from meals and nap time. The mornings are also stressful. We try and get out by 8:30 or 9 but he is an absolute horror between wake up and then. Is this just an age thing?

Yeah, I had to be up and out also.
Do you do toy rotation?
I found it helped so he wasn't looking at the same toys all the time and getting bored.
Do you do any toddler groups or anything?
They filled in our afternoons

Thanks @Moonshine11. Yeah we get out to groups in the morning which are a godsend, DS loves them. There seems to be a lack of stuff in the afternoon where I am though, especially since he dropped to one nap, meaning more afternoon to kill! We’ve been to the same garden centre on repeat for a lot of the week as DS seems to like it and it’s got a great cafe 😂

How recently did he drop the nap?
Win win with the garden centre 😂
Some other things we do which may give you ideas;
Feed the ducks
Parks
Walk round the estate on scuttlebug
Library (these tend to have story time sessions on)
Swimming
Soft play
On a dry day I let him paint my decking (currently blue and orange) this entertains him for a good hour whilst I sit with a coffee.
Slime baths in afternoon
I bought a disco ball off Amazon and we have a mid afternoon disco to wheels on the bus etc
Pots and pans with water, pasta and rice in.

Pinterest is great for ideas.

This is what my sister is going through.

However she has two..one that wants to be in and one that wants to be out. Keeping them both happy is IMPOSSIBLE. She's exhausted and always fed up!

Sometimes you just need to be in. I feel for you. Pretty sure it's just a phase you will need to ride but you're gonna be SO in the know of things to do in your local area...you could be a mumma blogger haha!
