Training seat for the bigger boys!

Anybody found or know of a training seat which comes up bigger than the normal sort of ones you get from, say, Mothercare? My son just about squeezes onto his, and more often than not, he tends leak over the top. He's too small to sit on the toilet seat alone though.

Any ideas?

are the soft padded ones any better?

Do you mean a seat that goes on top of the loo? Dd's is a Baby Bjorn, and it has a raised "lip" at the front presumably for boys! It's a bit of a nuisance for us, as she has difficulty climbing over it to get on/ off the loo!

we have one without handles which is great - our friend's ds, who has huge legs, has problems on the ones with handles. Will try and find out where my mil got it from.

Yes, one which goes over the toilet is what I'm after. We do have one which has a lip at the front, but he has little chunky legs and doesn't fit behind it very well at all. Being a boy, he definitely needs one with the lip or we'll have wee wees everywhere!

We had a Graco one which came from a local Chemist shop and had a low, smooth guard at the front. How old is he though ? - our v petite 3 yr old dd hasn't needed one but ds did until he was about 4. Perhaps he could manage on the toilet itself if he had a high stool to rest his feet flat on giving him a bit more security or one of those graduated step/seat contraptions from Argos or Index.
