Photo storing ideas

My son is turning 1 this weekend and I've taken an embarrassing number of videos and photos of him over the past year. Phone is full, I don't have my own laptop (just a work one). I've had loads printed and started making photo albums but thats kind of the best photos, and I want to keep the vids too. I was considering buying memory sticks and having like "first 6 months", "6 months to a year" etc. Any ideas? What do you lot do? Is there a way I can make this into a nice keepsake thing?

I have a computer so I store them on there, but I think memory sticks is an option. Also cloud storage - Apple or Google photos are fairly inexpensive for a decent amount of storage and really easy to sync with phones.

I'd actually do them in two places, one physical one digital. Just in case you lose the memory sticks or the online service goes kaputt or you have a sync disaster where you sync it the wrong way (overwriting a ful backup with an empty one for example).

The albums are a really nice idea as well. I'm going through with little diaries, FB posts or milestone things I filled out and slowly assembling albums for each child with the highlight photo reel plus this text describing what they are doing or some everyday snapshot of interaction.

You can also get a hard drive that attaches to your router which is handy for things like photo storage.

Hubby has them all double backed up on hard drives, some online storage, not so many hard copies.
We had one hard drive get corrupted when we just had the 1 child, I'd printed most pics though so scanned them to have digital copies again. That's why we no longer have one digital storage place.

@Chelyann I'm so scared of that happening! I think I'll have to do 2 methods like @BertiesBots suggested

I have photo albums (for fun photos as well as 'nice' photos), then they're also on my computer and the cloud. I then use the app 1 second everyday to make a composite video from videos/photos.

Aww Happy 1st Birthday!! I have mine saved in the iCloud, and then have folders on a external hard drive. I do the 50 free prints app each month for prints and have them stashed away. I made a photo book for DD 1st birthday, with special moments. Will do this every year (did the same with SDC).
