My little boy's just been invited to his first (and my first!) birthday party. It's for a little boy who's turning one, and I have NO idea what to get him! I haven't known them very long. Just over a month.... I haven't got much spare cash, but want to buy something he'll make use of! Any ideas???
Thanks

How about The Very Hungry Caterpillar board book? Or Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes?

janeybops · 12/11/2004 13:33

OR ONE OF THOSE BOOKS
'THATS NOT MY ......' BOUGHT ONE TODAY FOR 4.99 IN MOTHERCARE.
MY LITTLE ONE WAS GIVEN A CHAD VALLEY 'MOBILE PHONE' (WOOOLWORTHS) FOR HIS FIRST BIRTHDAY LAST WEEK AND HE LOVES IT. NOTICED IT WAS INEXPENSIVE TODAY WHILE IN THERE.

OR FOR 12.50 HE GOT A CLICK CLACK TRACK FROM ELC WHICH HE ALSO LOVES.

How about some finger paints, or crayons with a note book? My one year old (and 5 days) loves painting and crayoning. Alternatively, try poundstretcher - they have got some great hammer toys, for about £5. Or you could get a variety of musical toys - they're pretty cheap. Try Tesco / Asda both do some pretty good toys fairly cheap!
